Meet Tennille

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters in Health Education, and a certification to teach Zumba

Hi! Let me introduce myself. I have struggled with my weight since I can remember. This lead me to studying nutrition and becoming a group fitness instructor. I love learning about the functions of nutrients in the body, and I love physical activity.  I like feeling strong and moving to great music!

I am an ambulatory wheelchair user.  I've had three babies (2 boys, 1 girl, ages 14-21) and each pregnancy caused damage to my pelvis. After I had my third baby, the damage was so severe that I needed to use a wheelchair almost full time.  I can walk a little, but it causes a lot of pain.  I deal with chronic pain everyday.  It's hard to imagine what life used to be like without pain! But we deal and go on and do the things we can do, right?

Why Seated Zumba??

I used to go to Zumba classes at my local gym.  I loved the classes and the friendships I made, but it was difficult to get a good cardio workout. I wasn't working out hard enough.  Now that I started creating my own choreography, I am able to get a GOOD CARDIO workout!

I can't wait for you to try it!
